UNISON spokesperson, Christina McAnea (Head of Education), welcomed the launch this month (November) by Eteach UK Ltd, of a specialist FE job site providing access to nationwide FE job vacancies and aimed at simplifying the process for job seekers.
The site, www.FEjobs.com, will take vacancy adverts from all of the 485 FE colleges that are members of the Association of Colleges (AoC) and allows FE staff to search for suitable vacancies and apply online direct to colleges.
Christina McAnea commented, “We welcome this initiative, which provides UNISON members with a free, specialist FE job-seeking facility.”
FEjobs.com uses a unique mix of on and offline media to promote job vacancies including The Independent Newspaper and links with other websites including the Association of Colleges (AoC). A job search facility has been integrated within the UNISON website.
Applicants will be able to search for posts, complete and email online application forms direct to colleges, if not they can download them from the site to post direct to the college.
FEjobs.com was developed over 18 months, combining input from college personnel officers and the online education recruitment expertise of Eteach.com.
Eteach.com has had 5 years’ experience helping save money and streamline staff recruitment for secondary and primary schools and has used this online technology to work in association with The AoC and bring similar benefits to Further Education recruitment. Over 90 LEAs use Eteach services to recruit teaching and support staff throughout the UK.
