"The Association of Colleges is pleased to be working with Eteach in developing FEjobs.com and feels sure that this initiative will help resolve many of the issues currently associated with recruiting in further education."
Sue Dutton, Deputy Chief Executive, Association of Colleges
“ACM is pleased to support Eteach.com in its new initiative – www.FEjobs.com - a specialist FE job site. The unique online technology behind FEjobs.com ensures that searching for a job or recruiting for a member of staff is simple, economical and effective.”
Peter Pendle, Chief Executive, Association for College Management (ACM)
"As an FE lecturer I was asked to participate in the development of www.FEjobs.com. With an easy-to-use online search and email job alerts specific to my criteria, it was really impressive.
I think the Internet in general is a great way to find work and I have recommended www.FEjobs.com to friends and colleagues.”
Glyn Ingram, FE Lecturer, Berkshire
“We welcome this initiative which provides UNISON members with a free, specialist FE job-seeking facility.”
Christina McAnea, Head of Education, UNISON
"Gorseinon College has used FEJobs.com over the past 2 years and find it very efficient and user friendly. You get unlimited vacancy posting throughout the year, there’s no hassle, you just copy and paste the advert onto the website and complete relevant fields which is very straightforward and everything else is done for you. The system has the ability to upload job descriptions and person specifications which makes life easy and application forms are already set up for each vacancy. The advert is always set out neatly and professionally, displaying the College Logo. We always get a very good response to vacancies as it is distributed everywhere! We are very impressed with FEJobs.com and will continue to use them."
Jackie Ryan, HR Assistant, Gorseinon College
"We have increasingly found attracting quality candidates a challenge. Recruitment advertising is costly and the administration involved in processing applications is lengthy. Whilst historically, we have used offline publications to advertise our vacancies, we are now embracing the Internet as a medium to reach candidates.
We were asked to work with Eteach in developing FEjobs.com, to ensure that this new recruitment system was tried and tested by the people who would be using it in the future. With our input and that of other FE colleges, we have helped to influence the shape and scope of this service to create a function that will cater specifically for FE college needs and refine the recruitment process. Not only does FEjobs.com ensure college vacancies are widely promoted but it ensures jobseekers can easily find suitable roles with enhanced search functions and email job bulletins.
Financially, FEjobs.com has the potential to save us thousands on advertising and hours of administration. Being able to just email our job advertisement in and receive suitable candidate applications online, on our own college application forms, will transform our recruitment process."
Kath Barnes, Head of Personnel, Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College
"When we learnt that FEjobs was developed with the AoC and is supported by the major unions, North Hertfordshire College initially decided to use it on a Pay-per-Vacancy basis. We were happy with the response and decided to make use of the additional features associated with the annual subscription. The website is easy-to-use, enables us to give the information about our college and its location and the candidates apply directly to us electronically on our own college forms. A real benefit is being able to attach our own recruitment information and the job description for each post. In a short space of time the response has been better than the traditional national press and I believe this will continue as the service establishes itself as the market leader."
Carol Ashby, Human Resources Manager, North Hertfordshire College
“We have a staff of 1400 working across six sites in the locality. Traditionally we have relied on advertising job vacancies in the local press, the TES and on our own ‘jobs@thecollege’ section of our website, whilst still exploring ways of reaching a wider audience.
We view FEjobs.com as another tool to reach people who are searching online for lecturing or admin positions in FE. Setting up the service was easily done and completed in a couple of days without the need for special software or equipment.
As soon as we have a vacancy available we can log onto the FEjobs site and type in the full details, which become ‘live’ on the site immediately. Candidates can fill in our application form online and email it directly to us or download it for completion. This has saved us a lot of repetitive paperwork and time. At interview we simply ask applicants to sign their emailed application form to confirm the details are correct.
FEjobs.com is becoming a very valuable tool, assisting us in attracting good quality applicants who either have FE experience or who are new to the sector.”
Debbie Cohen, HR Manager, Bournemouth & Poole College
