Directions to Carlisle College
From the East (A69) and South (M6)
Travel along the A69 to Carlisle until you reach the roundabout at the A 6 9
/ M 6 interchange Junction 43. Go straight ahead over the motorway and follow
the directions to Carlisle. Continue along Warwick Road for approximately 1-_
miles following signs to ‘Colleges’. You will then reach a set of traffic lights
with a right hand fork. Take the right turn and continue along Victoria Place
for approximately 400m taking the second road on the right Lismore Place (Newman
School is on corner) follow the road round to the left.
From the North (M6)
Exit M6 at junction 44 take the fourth exit following directions to Carlisle
City centre. Follow the road for 2 miles until you come to Hardwicke Circus
roundabout, keeping in the left hand lane. Take the second exit keeping DFS and
petrol station on left hand side and travel along Georgian Way. At the traffic
lights take the filter lane to the left. Carlisle College is on your left. Go
past the College and take the third road on your left Lismore Place (Newman
School is on corner) follow the road round to the left.
By Rail from the Railway Station (10 minute walk to the College)
From the station (South of the map,) walk straight ahead keeping the Lakes
Court Hotel on your right. At the pelican crossing, cross over the road, and
continue around the Crescent (keeping the statue on your left), and turn right
onto Warwick Road past the Lonsdale Cinema to the traffic lights and turn left
along Spencer Street. Cross over onto the right hand side, and keep walking
straight ahead until forced (by pedestrian barriers) to turn right onto Victoria
Place. Carlisle College is on your left.
By Coach from the Bus Station
On leaving the bus station onto Lonsdale Street, turn left. Continue down to
the traffic lights and turn left again along Spencer Street. You will then
follow the same route, shown in bold text above in “by rail”.
Parking at Carlisle College
On the roads surrounding the College there is restricted disc parking. The nearest, most accessible paid parking is at the Sands Leisure Centre.
