The College’s Mission Statement

The College Mission states that the College will:

‘Provide the highest possible quality of education and training for the benefit of both individuals and employers
Identify opportunities within the valleys travel-to-work area for economic development and cultural and social enhancement.
Sustain financial viability’

Our Vision

We want every learner who leaves our college to have acquired an unbeatable combination of skills, qualifications, confidence and determination so that they have the right foundation for success.

We want every local business, large or small, to have the staff with the skills and knowledge needed for commercial success in this ‘Information Age’. We want to foster a spirit of entrepreneurship and give small business the help and support they need to grow.

We want to create and be part of a lifelong pathway of learning. We want to build on the links we already have with other providers of education and training, to include schools, universities, professional and voluntary organisations.

We believe that learning and the love of learning leads to a different kind of prosperity-‘an inner prosperity’-that stems from growing self-confidence and a belief that we can all realise our full potential. The experience of our past, current and future learners, has and must continue to reinforce this belief.

Within our college we will strive to ensure that the time people spend is one of discovery and personal achievement.

The College is committed to Equal Opportunities
