Achievement Boost Mentor – Variable Hours

Teaching & Learning Department

£12.31 per hour

The successful candidates will work with small groups of students within a curriculum department to support and mentor them for their vocational and/or academic qualifications and developing their wider skills to achieve and progress. This will include working with students to identify areas for their improvement, developing their skills and knowledge relevant to their qualifications such as written work, organisation skills, revision, essay writing, enhancing their examination technique and maintaining their motivation and confidence in the subject.

You will need to be competent and confident in supporting students in learning and progressing, be able to quickly build rapport with students, and keep accurate records of attendance and progress. You will work collaboratively with the Curriculum Team who can support you in this role. You may be supporting students in a curriculum area different to your own subject specialism, although we will try to match specialisms where possible.

If you have the drive, skills, abilities, and qualities to make a real difference then we would like to hear from you.

The closing date for applications will be 7th November 2021
