The Opportunity
Barnsley College is proud to welcome students from a wide range of countries and cultural backgrounds. With 36 different languages spoken across our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) provision, we are now seeking a new ESOL Teacher to support our growing and diverse student community.

About You
You will be an experienced ESOL practitioner with a strong understanding of classroom delivery and the ability to support learners from a wide range of backgrounds. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about the positive impact that developing English skills can have on confidence, independence and future opportunities.
You will have experience teaching both 16–18 learners and adults and will be confident in creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
Alongside your teaching experience, you will be committed to your own professional development and willing to work towards further qualifications where required.
Your motivation, enthusiasm and dedication to helping learners progress will enable you to make a meaningful contribution to our ESOL provision.

Required
• CELTA / Trinity Cert TESOL or equivalent
• Level 5 teaching qualification e.g. PGCE (or willingness to achieve within a specified timescale)
• Level 5 teaching qualification e.g. PGCE (or willingness to achieve within a specified timescale)
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience, teaching classroom sessions.
