The Opportunity
Based in our friendly Childcare and Health department, you will inspire our learners to build confidence and develop a strong understanding of maths that supports both their studies and future aspirations. You will deliver engaging and inclusive GCSE Maths lessons that motivate our students to achieve their personal and academic goals.
You will plan and deliver high-quality teaching that makes maths relevant, accessible, and enjoyable. By creating an inclusive learning environment, you will enable learners to strengthen their numeracy skills, improve their problem-solving ability, and develop effective exam techniques to achieve their target grades.
Monitoring progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of attendance and achievement will be essential to support each learner’s success. You will also contribute to curriculum planning and resource development, ensuring that teaching remains fresh, inspiring, and aligned with departmental goals.
Collaboration with colleagues across the department will be central to your role, ensuring a consistent and supportive experience for all our learners.

About You
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated GCSE maths Teacher who is committed to supporting our young learners in achieving their academic goals. Ideally, you will have a strong background in teaching maths at GCSE level, with the ability to deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that cater to a range of abilities. Your approach will be inclusive and supportive, ensuring every student feels valued and motivated to succeed.
You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be working closely with our students, colleagues, and other stakeholders to drive student progression. A commitment to innovative teaching methods and continuous improvement will be essential, as will your ability to assess and monitor student progress effectively.
The ideal candidate will be adaptable, proactive, and confident in creating a positive and structured learning environment. Your enthusiasm for English and its role in shaping our students’ futures will be key in helping them build confidence and develop essential literacy skills. Required
• Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards a Level 6 PGCE.
• Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject.
• GCSEs (or equivalent Level 2) in Maths and English.
• At least one year’s experience in an education setting.
• Experience delivering learning to diverse learners.
• Experience creating engaging learning materials.
