Learning Support Assistant – Schools
(1 x 6 hours per week role available, Term-time, Fixed term until 24th June 2022)

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, energetic and dedicated individual to join the Schools Department at BCA working alongside specialist tutors and vocational lecturing staff. The successful candidate will provide an outstanding learning experience for our 14 – 16 transition students with learning difficulties, disabilities and differences within the department.
The hours of work will take place on Fridays, and you will be supporting our Schools students on a Motor Vehicle course.
You will need knowledge and awareness of a variety of approaches to supporting learners inclusive of those that may have emotional/behavioural challenges. You must be a confident communicator, able to work on your own initiative as well as within the team to find the best ways to support our students to an excellent standard. Experience of similar work with school or post-16 learners and/or supporting students with GCSE Maths & English would be useful.
