Construction Crafts Lecturer
Full-time 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
£24,294 to £34,267 per annum

Our Construction department is very well equipped to meet the demands of local employers. As the Construction Crafts Lecturer you will primarily teach our Level 2 multi-skills qualifications for fulltime students and apprentices, which will include Carpentry, Painting and Decorating, Brickwork, Plumbing and Tiling.
You will have the drive, enthusiasm and skills to enthuse and motivate young technicians of the future and maintain high teaching standards on the course. Previous experience of working with young people would be advantageous in this role. You must have the determination and desire to make a different to young people’s lives through education.
The successful candidate will:
• Hold a teaching qualification and a minimum of 2 years teaching experience
• Hold a Level 2 qualification in a vocational and/or construction area
• Be committed to developing learners’ skills and technical understanding
As the Construction Lecturer you may be required to be a tutor for a designated group of learners which will involve guiding them through their individual journey towards their expected goals. Assessment, action planning and contributing to course are all aspects of this role.
