Sessional Chemistry Lecturer (Access to Higher Education in Science)

£25.50 per hour (£21.01 Basic + £4.49 holiday pay) 


£35.97 per hour (£29.63 Basic + £6.34 holiday pay)

Are you an experienced FE or HE Lecturer in Science – Chemistry, looking for a role in a fast-paced and dynamic environment?

As the Access to HE lecturer your focus will be to deliver well planned, engaging and innovative lessons and ensure that leaners have the knowledge and skills to progress further.

What will you be doing?

Ensuring individual learner success

Deliver interesting and innovative learning and undertake assessments using a broad range of methods

Contributing to, and take full advantage of, curriculum and staff development activities

Developing a personalising and holistic learning approach in all lessons

Guide/tutor learners through the learning process (action planning, reviews, progression)

You will also be involved with learner recruitment via internal and external marketing, and school liaison activities

The successful candidate will:

• Have a Chemistry background

• Hold a Level 4 teaching qualification or equivalent

• Hold a relevant vocational qualification at least to Level 3 and be able to demonstrate strong subject knowledge

• Have a minimum of three years relevant industry experience
