Sessional Lecturer in Construction – 6 weeks cover
£25.50 per hour (£21.01 basic + £4.49 holiday pay)
£35.97 per hour (£29.63 basic + £6.34 holiday pay)
We are looking for a self-motivated, organised lecturer with excellent communication skills to support, via assessment, the training on a range of constructions programmes with specific emphasis on Site Carpentry & Joinery.
You will ensure assessments and associated tracking and monitoring activities are undertaken and meet the College and Awarding Body criteria.
As the successful candidate you will:
• Have previous experience of working within the construction industry and the Further Education sector.
• Hold a specific vocational qualification Level 2 (preferably Carpentry) and/or above.
• Be involved with the delivery team for the Level 2 Multi-skills qualification, so a broad range of construction knowledge and practical experience with Health & Safety, Carpentry and basic refurb techniques (tiling, painting and decorating etc) would be advantageous
• Hold an assessors and teaching qualification (or working towards). An internal verifiers awards would also be advantageous
