We are seeking an exceptional, motivated and student-focused teacher to join our team as a Head of Year, with a teaching specialism of English, Maths, Science or PSHCE. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is ready to take on a significant pastoral leadership role while continuing to deliver high-quality teaching in their subject area.
The successful candidate will:
• Lead the academic progress, behaviour, attendance and wellbeing of a designated year group.
• Build strong relationships with students, families and staff to create a positive, inclusive and aspirational culture.
• Work closely with the Senior Leadership team, safeguarding leads and pastoral colleagues to ensure every student is supported to achieve, belong and participate.
• Teach their specialist subject to a high standard, contributing to curriculum development and raising achievement across the department.
• Support whole school initiatives and contribute to the wider life of the school.
