Teaching Assistant Grade B (Fixed Term)
We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with the ability to support students across the curriculum. You should enjoy the challenges and rewards of working with teaching staff to support students, individually or in small groups. Previous experience of working with young people is desirable. The position is an exciting chance to play a pivotal role in a supportive and friendly team and is also a great opportunity for those wishing to pursue a career in a thriving Academy Trust.
Axe Valley is a wonderful school to work in, with brilliant students who deserve the best from staff. We are proud of our recent Ofsted Good judgement but have the vision to drive for even greater things in the future. Axe Valley is well respected in the local community. We have higher than national average numbers of students on the SEND register as a result of a strong SEND provision and we pride ourselves on the high standards of behaviour that are in place across the school. The success of vulnerable students is at the heart of our self evaluation. We are excited to continue to improve and are looking for a dedicated TA who is passionate about improving the life chances of vulnerable students.
One of the twelve schools within the Blackdown Education Partnership, Axe Valley currently has approximately 750 students in Years 7–11. The Academy is located in East Devon, in the beautiful market town of Axminster, which is set on the River Axe.
