Cover Supervisor

32hrs/week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor who is passionate about the learning experiences of pupils. We are looking to recruit someone who is able to successfully contribute to the whole school ethos of Learn, Grow, Thrive and Flourish and to effectively develop excellence in learning and teaching and wellbeing.

Weekly hours are 8.30am-3.00pm with the expectation of running sport based after school extra-curricular activities twice a week (8.30-5.00pm).

If you are the exceptional Cover Supervisor that we are looking for, you will:

• In the absence of the responsible class teacher, be highly effective in the classroom, drawing on a wide range of knowledge and skills to enable the continuation of learning meeting the needs of all learners;

• Engage, motivate and manage the behaviour of pupils;

• Create a dynamic yet purposeful learning environment for pupils;

• Develop the confidence of our learners to enjoy learning and to participate fully in the life of the school community.

• Run sport based interventions and after school extra-curricular activities.

• Work alongside the Health and Wellbeing AOLE in supporting team sports.
