Bryntirion Comprehensive School are looking to appoint a Curriculum Support Office for our ALN centre, The Hive.
Working closely with the ALCco you will deliver support programmes identified to enable pupils to achieve the best possible outcome.
You will be expected to:
- Supervise pupils during and between lessons providing specific care to those pupils with special/additional needs
- Undertake intervention sessions to groups of pupils in the Hive
- Ensure that registration, tracking and timetabling is monitored daily
- LIaise with teaching staff across the school to ensure that work is provided for any pupils on bespoke packages
- Responsibility for timetables
- Contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of learning intervention programmes
- Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supporting learning environment
You will have the following:
- NVQ level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent or demonstrable experience.
- Good standard of general education including GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council.
- First Aid training (or willingness to undertake).
- Experience of working with or caring for children.
- Experience of delivering Numeracy & Literacy interventions.
- General understanding of national curriculum.
