Assistant Headteacher - Coety Primary School - Temporary Job description 32.5 hours per week Temporary up to 31 August 2025 Secondment opportunities are welcomed for this vacancy. The Governing Body of Coety Primary School is seeking to appoint a passionate, committed, and forward-thinking Assistant Headteacher on secondment, with a strong focus on Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and Inclusion. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced senior leader looking to broaden their leadership experience and make a meaningful impact at a time of exciting growth and transformation. This secondment will provide the successful candidate with a unique opportunity to lead strategically on a whole-school priority, contribute to a strong leadership team, and help shape the future of our school. We are looking for a leader who: Is an exceptional classroom practitioner with experience across the primary phase; Has a proven track record of driving school improvement, particularly in the area of ALN and inclusive practice; Is passionate about equity, wellbeing, and enabling all pupils to succeed, including those with additional learning needs; Is confident in leading self-evaluation, action planning, and whole-school development work; Has a strong understanding of the Welsh ALN Reform and can guide staff through implementation; Has excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others; Is flexible, enthusiastic, and reflective, always looking for ways to improve; Can work closely with the Headteacher, SLT, and Governors to drive strategic priorities; Is an aspiring deputy headteacher looking to grow and gain experience in a high-performing, inclusive school.
