Llangewydd Junior School is situated in Bridgend and part of the Bryntirion Cluster of schools. There are 343 pupils on roll aged between seven and eleven years. The school has 12 mainstream classes and 2 ALN classes, with a third ALN class opening in September 2026.

The Governing Body are seeking to appoint a special support officer, who is reliable, creative and flexible, who is committed to supporting the classroom teacher to promote children's wellbeing and learning.

The successful candidate will:

- Be an excellent ALN classroom learning support assistant to support ALN pupils, specifically those with Neurodevelopmental needs.

- Be able to support high quality differentiated learning experiences using their knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales.

- Be an excellent role model to encourage positive outcomes.

- Deliver high quality interventions.

- Work effectively as part of a successful team.

- Be able to support with behaviour both inside and outside of the classroom.

- Work within an AOLE team.
