32.5 hours per week
Porthcawl Primary School is in the town of Porthcawl in the Bridgend local authority. There are 176 pupils on roll, aged between three and eleven. The school has seven classes, three of which are mixed-aged, and currently employs seven full-time teachers. The latest Estyn Report, published in November 2023, is available on the school's website.
We are seeking to appoint an innovative, passionate, and inspirational teacher to work in our mixed year 5 and 6 class.
The successful candidate will develop highly effective relationships with all members of the school community and will demonstrate unwavering commitment to providing the best possible learning opportunities for all.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent classroom practice and be passionate, ambitious, self-reflective and enthusiastic to contribute to our happy, successful and inclusive school community. They will provide children with inspiring learning experiences that allow them to develop as independent, curious, reflective, cooperative and resilient learners.
Successful shortlisted candidates will be asked to deliver a lesson either in their own setting or at PPS on the week beginning Monday 23rd June. This will be arranged with the Headteacher after shortlisting has taken place.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
An Enhanced with Childrens Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
