SEND Teaching Assistant. Year 1: Fixed term contract for two years. Bristol Grade 7
Glenfrome Primary School is a two-form entry Primary School with a 10 place ASD resource base. We are a diverse and thriving school, with waiting lists in many year groups. We are looking for teaching assistant to support a pupil with complex needs who is a wheelchair user. Full training and support around the needs of the child will be given. This role is to start in September. If you are available sooner, we will have some time for a handover with the person currently in post so the successful applicant has the best possible start.
We are looking for someone who can work closely with the staff team and the family and use their initiative to support the children and teacher in the class. The child has an EHCP, and regular visits from Health care professional to support with their needs. You will liaise closely with the SENDco, class teacher, parents and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for the child.
You will join our skilled support staff team who play a vital role in securing the achievement and welfare of our pupils and take a pride in our school. In return you will be welcomed into a strong and supportive school community and will be able to develop your skills and talents.
