Assistant SENCO - Teacher

Contract: Fixed term contract 1 year

Working pattern: Part time, 3 days a week

This is an exciting professional development opportunity and the right candidate will be passionate about inclusive education and securing the best outcomes for children with additional needs.

As an experienced teaching professional, you will support the SENDCo to ensure pupils with SEND receive the best education and pastoral support.

You will play a key role in supporting the implementation, monitoring and review of SEND provision across the schools. This includes contributing to EHCP processes, supporting teachers with their practice, and helping to ensure that curriculum adaptations enable all pupils to access learning.

We are looking for:

• A candidate with successful experience of teaching and supporting children with SEND.

• A candidate with the ability to establish rapport and respectful and trusting relationships with children, their families and carers and other adults working in school and with the school.

• Someone with a positive, resourceful and forward-thinking outlook.

• Someone with the ability to prioritise, plan time and organise themselves effectively.

You must be strongly motivated and possess the character needed to work in a demanding role.

Sefton Park Schools are federated two-form Infant and Junior Schools with an additional Nursery and a Specialist Resource Base. Situated in the Ashley Down area of Bristol for over 100 years, we are deeply rooted in our local community.
