We have an exciting position for an experienced SENDCo to work within our Inclusion team supporting on the leadership of Special Educational strategy and provision at our three-form entry school. We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly skilled and knowledgeable SENDCo to join our friendly, hardworking team. You will be passionate about working with our children and making a difference to those children with Special Educational Needs.
We are looking for the right candidate, who:
- Is passionate about teaching and learning and wants to play a key role in shaping the strategic vision for SEND
- Has experience of working with children across the primary age range and can draw on knowledge of interventions, training and resources to ensure children with SEND achieve their full potential
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with pupils, parents and staff
- Has experience of working with the LA and outside agencies to support children and families
- Has a thorough understanding of SEND procedures including the EHCP process
- Has consistently high expectations of attainment and behaviour for all
- Has appropriate understanding of child protection and safeguarding policies and procedures
- Is able to inspire and motivate children and colleagues
- Has the NASENCo qualification or is willing to undertake a SENCo qualification within three years
