Salary: G10, from £34,314 per annum pro rata, actual salary £28,386 per annum.
Pay award pending of 3.2%
Hours: 35 hours per week, term time.
Cotham School, a successful, vibrant and diverse 11-18 comprehensive school, wishes to appoint two experienced Year Team Assistants to start in this role from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a new colleague to capitalise on the opportunities presented by this role to gain significant pastoral experience and professional development within a supportive, highly cohesive and experienced team of professionals.
The role presents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious candidate to make a significant contribution to the outcomes and life chances of our students.
The successful applicant will have the necessary knowledge, skills and vision to work closely with one of our Learning Co-ordinators (Heads of Year) with a specific year group of students at the school. The role will entail promoting positive behaviour and developing consistent systems and practices so that students can learn in a safe and secure environment.
In addition, they will work alongside their colleagues to develop the school’s culture of values-based interactions and to ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of Cotham students. The successful candidate will also be a key means of support for those students whose behaviour may be a barrier to them making good progress in school and achieving their potential.
