Actual Annual Salary: £29,748 based on Term Time only hours (Plus inset days)
Contract Type: Fixed-Term, Term time only (plus INSET days)
Full Time Equivalent Salary: £34,740 - £38,419 (CLF Grade E). Based on 37 hours per week.
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Start date: June 2025 (depending on completion of pre employment checks)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Attendance Link Worker. We are seeking an individual with a deep understanding of the barriers to attendance, who will build strong relationships with students and their families and is able to advocate on their behalf where needed, to ensure students receive the suitable education to which they are entitled. The attached person specification and job description outline the duties and responsibilities.
The Attendance Link Worker will work in partnership with parents and carers to support their children and understand their needs. The aim is to improve pupils’ school attendance and engagement with learning. The postholders will work proactively, finding ways to make the academy as inclusive and accessible as possible; and will increase parental engagement.
This role has become available due to a trial of a new attendance structure.
About you:
You will have:
- The understanding of the range of issues that can affect young people, their families, and disadvantaged sections of the community and a willingness to keep up to date with developments in this area
- A professional qualification in working with young people or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills evidenced by GCSE Maths and English or equivalent qualifications or equivalent experience
- Full, clean driving licence with willingness to obtain business insurance and daily access to car or other suitable vehicle
- Experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships with parents and pupils
