Position: Lecturer – SEND and Transition

Salary: Assessed scale from £21,869.59 to £34,030.05 based on qualifications and experience

Hours/Contract: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: The post holder will be required to work flexibly across all campuses, according to department needs

Brooklands College is a Further Education College with two campuses based in Weybridge and Ashford. We pride ourselves on providing innovative and effective programmes for learners of all abilities.

The SEND & Transition department requires a Lecturer to work as part of a team, to deliver a range of high-quality courses from pre-entry to Level 1. The curriculum offer incorporates employability and independent living skills, a range of vocational options, functional English, Maths and ICT, personal, social and communication skills. There is a high emphasis on progression, employability and independence for all of our learners. A key part of this role will be providing learning opportunities for learners to become skilled in communication, employability and life skills.

We are an established provider of good quality college and school courses for young people and adults with learning difficulties and emotional/behavioural difficulties. Our full-time courses are designed with our learners in mind, using a range of qualifications. Our school links programme offers learners the opportunity to try a range of vocational courses and aids transition into college.

You will be a qualified teacher and have experience of teaching young adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities and emotional/behavioural difficulties.

The SEND & Transition team is experienced, creative and dedicated to enabling learners from a variety of backgrounds to achieve their full potential. Ideally you will have experience of working professionally in this field and be an enthusiastic team member who is flexible and used to working under pressure.
