Job Title:  Administration Assistant Level 1 

Location: Nailsea, North Somerset site.

Actual Annual Salary: £21,012 - £22,903 Based on hours and weeks worked.

Full Time Equivalent Salary: £25,941 - £28,275 (CLF Grade B) Based on Full Time hours, All Year Round.

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract – 31 August 2027

Hours: Part-time, 35 hours per week Term Time Only (plus INSET Days)

Your opportunity to be the welcoming face of our academy and support a thriving learning environment whilst becoming part of a friendly and supportive team:

We are looking for a Part-Time Receptionist with a warm, professional manner and a passion for supporting young people and their families. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our front-of-house operations, providing a welcoming and efficient reception service and supporting the wider administrative team.

Working 35 hours per week, term time only (plus inset days), you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, students, and staff, helping to create a positive and safe environment for all.

About you:

You will:

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage warmly and professionally with students, staff, parents, and visitors.
  • Be confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and email, and ideally have experience with school management systems such as Bromcom.
  • Be highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and a calm approach when dealing with sensitive situations or safeguarding matters.
  • Be committed to confidentiality, safeguarding, and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Be flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic about working in a school setting.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Welcoming visitors, managing sign-in procedures, and ensuring safeguarding protocols are followed.
  • Answering telephone and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Supporting students and staff with day-to-day administrative needs.
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting with data entry and reporting.
  • Assisting with general office duties such as photocopying, filing, and ordering supplies.

About Lime Hills Academy:  

Lime Hills Academy is a special school for young people in years 5 - 11 who have an EHCP to support their SEMH needs. We will be moving into our new build in Churchill in due course. As a temporary arrangement we have been supported by the DfE and CLF to deliver our provision across two sites: a secondary site in Weston and a primary site in Nailsea. 

At our core, is a belief that every young person deserves the right to an educative experience that prepares them for adulthood and opens doors at Post 16. We do this by providing a targeted core curriculum that focuses in equal parts on literacy, numeracy, and PSHE.  This is enriched through outdoor learning, benevolent childhood experiences, arts, topic based learning and specific interventions
