Actual Annual Salary: £18,911 - £20,612 (Based on hours and working weeks)
Full Time Equivalent Salary: £25,941 - £28,275 (CLF Grade B) Based on Full Time hours, All Year Round.
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 30 August 2027
Hours: Part-time, 31.5 hours per week Term Time Only (plus INSET Days)
Additional role info: Core hours are Monday - Thursday 8:30 - 15:30, Friday 8:30 - 14:30 however some flexibility in hours or Job Share may be considered

This is a varied role working on our student support desk, duties will include - assisting students with queries e.g. printing timetables and lanyards, booking out laptops, answering the telephone, monitoring of generic inbox. Taking receipt of weekly FareShare food delivery and distributing in the student/staff kitchen, maintaining the student social space, assisting the Attendance Officer in the recording of daily attendance, carrying out reprographic requests, assisting with event preparation and taking responsibility for the marketing and publicity of the Academy by posting regularly on social media and producing a termly newsletter.
About you:
You will:
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage warmly and professionally with students, staff, parents, and visitors.
- Be confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and email, and ideally have experience with school management systems such as Bromcom.
- Be highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, and a calm approach when dealing with sensitive situations or safeguarding matters.
- Be committed to confidentiality, safeguarding, and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Be flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic about working in a school setting.
What you’ll be doing:
- Welcoming visitors, managing sign-in procedures, and ensuring safeguarding protocols are followed.
- Answering telephone and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Supporting students and staff with day-to-day administrative needs.
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting with data entry and reporting.
- Assisting with general office duties such as photocopying, filing, and ordering supplies.

The CLF Post 16 Academy is situated in South Gloucestershire, hosted at John Cabot Academy, and serves the students of Bristol across two local authorities. We are a centre of education for ages 16-19 offering a range of level 1, 2 and 3 vocational courses and a full breadth of A Level qualifications.
