Actual Annual Salary: £21,012 - £22,903 Based on hours and working weeks.
Full Time Equivalent Salary: £25,941 - £28,275 (CLF Grade B) Based on Full Time hours, All year round.

Hours: Part-Time, 35 hours per week Term Time Only (plus INSET days)
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3.30pm

We are seeking two enthusiastic and motivated Level 1 Teaching Assistants (Learning Support Assistants) to join the team at Evergreen Primary Academy. In this role, you will support the educational, personal, and social development of students, working under the guidance of teaching and support staff. By using effective strategies and approaches, you will help pupils access the curriculum, remain engaged in their learning, and achieve their full potential.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of young people, both in and outside the classroom. You will play an active role in delivering planned learning activities and teaching programmes, adapting support to meet the needs and responses of pupils where necessary. Working closely with colleagues across the academy, you will contribute to providing high-quality educational experiences and promoting the success and wellbeing of every child.
About you:
You will:
- have an understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities, and how a Teaching Assistant supports students in their learning and development.
- be able to engage students and manage behaviour effectively on a one-to-one or small group basis, using appropriate strategies tailored to individual learning needs.
- be committed to undertake relevant qualifications, e.g. relevant NVQ Level 2/ 3 in supporting teaching and learning or equivalent, first aid qualification, to ensure ongoing professional development.
- demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to show empathy and actively listen when working with students who may require additional support.
- have good planning and organisational skills, especially in preparing and adapting learning activities and support materials to meet the diverse needs learners.
- be someone with a genuine interest in working with children and young people, and a strong commitment to inclusion and the acceptance of all learners, regardless of their abilities or backgrounds.
