Cambridge Regional College have an exciting opportunity for a Life Drawing Model to join our Creative Industries team at our Cambridge Campus. Cambridge Regional College seeks people of all ages (18 and older) and body types to model for figure drawing and painting classes.

You will join us on a variable hours basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £18 per hour.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older and must not be a current student of Roger Williams University.

  • Models must be capable of holding a variety of standing and/or sitting poses from gestures to sustained poses, from 30 seconds to as long as 20 minutes of continuous modelling time followed by 5-minute breaks for up to a total of 2 or 4 hours per session.
  • Ability to provide full range of traditional life drawing poses, as required for fine arts studio classes; figure drawing, painting and other drawing courses or as required by class curriculum.
  • Previous experience is preferred but not required. Must be comfortable posing clothed or nude. New models are welcome. Models without previous modelling experience but with experience in any type of dance, theatre, yoga or athletics are encouraged to apply. While athletic ability is not required, body awareness and the ability to twist, turn, bend and accentuate the 3-dimensional qualities of the figure in poses is highly desirable.
  • All body types are welcome. Models from all walks of life are welcome and encouraged to apply.
  • Preference will be shown to models that are available for a variety of times.
  • Must have a professional presence and appropriately interact with students and faculty.
  • Reliability, punctuality and professionalism in conduct are essential. The success of the educational environment relies upon the model arriving on time and being ready to pose as scheduled. • All work is performed under supervision of the class instructor during class hours.
  • Candidates need to feel comfortable in their own skin
