Job Title: Student Welfare Adviser

Hours: 23 hours per week

Salary: £23,759 pro-rata based on the Full Time equivalent £35,462 per annum

About the role:

We are recruiting for a Student Advisor to join the Student Hub team at the Angel Campus, City and Islington College. You will have experience of working with 16-19 year olds and adults with high social needs in an advice setting. You will provide and promote specialist advice and guidance to students on a range of issues such as finance, housing, welfare benefits, bursary application, fees status and immigration including flexible student focussed drop in sessions

You will be expected to advise College management on policies and strategic issues relating to student welfare that may impact on student retention and achievement. You will work with other members of the Student Services teams and teaching staff to advertise the service and ensure that information is reaching all students/Staff across the organisation.

About you:

You will have an HND or degree plus a professional qualification in advice work.
