An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Team Leader in Animal Management at Enfield and Brooks Farm working directly with our Practical Staff.

The successful candidate will be leading, managing and developing the curriculum area within the parameters set by the Director of Studies in Animal Management & Saddlery. The candidate will work collaboratively and innovatively with staff to lead a culture of self-assessment and continuous improvement, promoting high standards of teaching and learning within the area, and producing high standards of student achievement, progression and value added. The team leader acts as Lead Internal Verifier and ensures all quality assurance procedures are fully complied with. Activities such as ensuring a high quality of provision in response to student and employer/industry needs and promoting new ways of teaching is also part of the role. The team leader will manage practical staff and ensure high standards of welfare for our animals at the Enfield and Brooks Farm campuses, with input on the Forty Hall Farm collection.

The ideal candidate will will have a teaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS) or willingness to work towards qualification. At least a HND, degree or similar in a science or animal related discipline. Experience of working in the Animal Management industry and a commitment to animal welfare. Experience of training animals and recognising behaviours is essential.
