London's leading College is looking for Sixth Form Academic Mentors to provide Small Group Tuition in the form of coaching and mentoring to groups of 5 students while working alongside teaching staff and tutors to improve the skills of A level students to fill gaps in learning in order to raise achievement.

About the role:

• To liaise regularly with curriculum staff to ensure that there is appropriate resourcing and planning of activities for students. Teachers will identify topics to ensure students get the most benefit
• To undertake targeted small group support for students as directed by curriculum staff. To work with curriculum staff, identifying what the students struggle with.
• To support an assigned cohort of students delivering from predesigned resources which may need to be adapted to suit students' needs. You will need to liaise with teaching staff to secure the best possible outcomes for students.
• Mentors will work with groups of no more than 5 students for sessions working on tasks identified by both the student and teacher and where additional support has been identified. Student groups may alternate to ensure more students benefit from this support.
• To liaise with curriculum staff to ensure that any concerns regarding attendance, behavior or academic progress are addressed.
• To discuss grades with students and to track, monitor and record achievement.


About you:
1) Good standard of education up to Degree level
2) Experience of working with 16-19-year-olds
3) Good communication skills
4) Good ICT skills
5) Ability to work well as part of a Team
