We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable individual Lecturer in Access to Higher Education, specializing in Humanities and Social Sciences. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in guiding students on their academic journey, preparing them for higher education. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and mentor aspiring students within our highly successful Access to Higher Education program.

About the role

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lectures, tutorials, and workshops to students enrolled in Access to Higher Education courses.
  • Teach a variety of Level 3 and 2 subjects, including Law, Sociology, and Study Skills.
  • Develop and update course materials, lesson plans, and assessment criteria.
  • Provide academic guidance and support to students, helping them progress toward their educational and career goals.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student success.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and educational best practices within the field of Social Sciences.

About you:

  • A relevant academic qualification in Social Sciences, Business Studies, Law, Sociology, or a related field.
  • Previous teaching or lecturing experience, preferably in an Access to Higher Education context.
  • Strong knowledge of the subject matter and the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to students.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for education.
  • Enthusiasm for working with diverse groups of students, including those with non-traditional educational backgrounds.
