About Us:

At Capital City College Group (CCCG) we are dedicated to transforming lives through exceptional education and training. Our focus is providing our learners with the skills to be successful in their futures, whether that is continuing in education through higher education, or an apprenticeship, or supporting them into a higher-level job.

We comprise three of London's largest most popular colleges - City and Islington College, Westminster Kingsway College and the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London - with a separate training arm offering apprenticeships and training for London's workforce. Combined, we work in eleven centres across Central and North East London with an enrolment of over 37,000 students.

About you:

We are looking for a well-motivated, enthusiastic and experienced KS4 Lecturer to deliver KS4 learning programmes including Functional Skills English, GCSE English, Functional Skills ICT, assistance to students, tutorial support and learning manager duties for a KS4 tutor group.

You will be a committed and resourceful individual who possesses a degree in an appropriate subject area and Level 2 qualification in English and Maths or a willingness to achieve within a specified period.

You will be outgoing, enthusiastic and have excellent organisational and communication skills.

We are committed to the safeguarding and protection of young people and adults and follow Safer Recruitment processes. All successful candidates will need to complete a DBS check, with some roles requiring an Enhanced check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working for us; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences. We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion in all our activities for everyone who learns and works here. We respect and value differences and welcome applications from candidates from all backgrounds.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.

Safeguarding Statement:

WKCIC is committed to protecting and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. Equality & Diversity: We value the diversity of our staff and learners who come from different cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds. This diversity is the source of our strength as our differences enable us to be innovative and creative in the way we work. Through our curriculum and employment policies, procedures and practices, we embrace equality and successfully celebrate the diversity of our staff and learners, who are encouraged and supported to share different aspects of their identity. We are proud to display the 'two ticks' symbol, to be a Stonewall Diversity Champion, and members of the Network for Black Professionals, and the Women’s Leadership Network. Our aim is to recruit the best staff possible and to deliver first class teaching to our learners. We are one of the few Colleges to employ an Equality & Diversity Manager whose goal it is to monitor and measure the steps taken to make sure we have an inclusive and safe learning and working environment. We are committed to equality and diversity, and expect our staff to share this commitment.
