Lecturer in Craft & Design (T Level)

Salary: £30,031 to £44,498

(Salary dependent on qualifications and experience)

Potential for Responsibility Allowance (C) of £1,500 for a candidate with appropriate experience

Contract: Full Time or part time considered, Permanent

Required: 28th August 2024, or earlier start available from 1st June 2024

We are seeking to recruit an outstanding teacher to contribute to a well-established and successful Art and Design team at our College in the Cotswolds. The successful applicant will have a genuine commitment to Art education with the ability to truly motivate and inspire learners, together with a commitment to raising academic standards and achievement. You will also have the ability to lead in driving forward curriculum development to the very high standards we set.

Teaching across the Arts is based in a highly attractive learning environment which has recently had a full refurbishment in the new ‘Art Loft’. Applicants are encouraged to visit this outstanding facility.

The post holder will be expected to:

• Teach to a high standard, and develop the relevant skills to teach truly outstanding Art & Design provision

• Play a leading role in developing our new T Level provision

• Support the students with the evaluation of their performance and coursework, recording their progress

This role represents a genuine opportunity for a capable and dedicated person to explore their true potential as we launch our new T Level. The emphasis will be upon Textiles and Fashion and may also include Ceramics and Jewellery-making. The successful applicant will work alongside the head of department to lead with the development of the new T level in Craft & Design. The job description for this role is attached.
