Contract: Full-Time or Part-Time Permanent

Required: 28th August 2024

Full-time Mathematics lecturer required for the beginning of the next Academic year. Potential applicants interested in a substantial fractional post are also encouraged to apply.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and reliable teacher to join a well-established and successful Mathematics team at a highly regarded sixth form college in the Cotswolds. Currently all maths lecturers deliver a bit of most things, ranging from Level 1 to Further Maths A Level. We would be especially keen to hear from you if you would prefer to focus more on GCSE and Functional Skills, however if you are looking for a balanced teaching load which includes A Level, we would encourage you to apply. We are ideally looking for a full-time appointment, however we will consider applicants for part-time roles, which we may be able to accommodate depending on other applicants and our projections for student recruitment in September. There may well be more than one position available. We are also interested to hear from suitably experienced teachers who may be interested in an additional ‘Responsibility Allowance’ which is awarded for Course Team Leaders for one of the qualifications that we offer.

The post holder will be expected to:

• Teach to a high standard, and develop the relevant skills to teach truly outstanding provision

• Work with the STEAM Faculty to create provision that excites and stimulates demand

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop their passion for education within a supportive environment, playing an important role in the continued development and delivery of Maths learning. Candidates should have a commitment to providing high quality learning to enable all learners to achieve their full potential. The ability to truly work as a team player is also essential. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills.

Candidates should possess either proven experience in industry or a good honours degree in a related subject (or a combination of both). Ideally you will hold a teaching qualification or be committed to obtain a suitable qualification once in post.

Closing Date: 10th April 2024, noon

We reserve the right to interview prior to this date.

PLEASE APPLY NOW - This position will close once sufficient applications are received.

We regret that due to the large number of applications we receive we are only able to contact those candidates to be interviewed.

Benefits include: Teachers Pensions defined benefit pension scheme – 28.6% college pension contribution from 1st April 2024 (including life assurance), generous holidays, sick pay scheme, Employee Assistance Programme, free on-site car parking, on-site fitness suite, Refectory and Cycle to Work Scheme.

Cirencester College may carry out online searches during the recruitment process on shortlisted candidates, as part of due diligence checks.

Cirencester College welcomes applications from all sectors of the community and is an equal opportunities employer.
