There’s never been a better time to join the fantastic team here at City of Bristol College, with recent investment in our already outstanding teaching facilities the College has a great deal on offer for both staff and students. We have an exciting new opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Civil Engineering Apprenticeship Trainer to work within the Construction team on a permanent, part time basis (18.5 hours per week). We also have a lecturing vacancy, where you can work both roles in order to make the hours full time.

You will be responsible for a caseload of students on the Construction and the Built Environment course, which will require you to visit them in their work place assessing their professional competencies, reviewing their progress on a regular basis and using an electronic portfolio system. If you want to inspire the next generation, this role is perfect for you!

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience. An assessor’s qualification and experience in assessing would be an advantage, though an attitude toward developing your assessing skills would be highly appreciated. The right person needs to be confident in working in a fast-paced environment, with changing priorities. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with Colleagues, Students and Stakeholders both internally and externally.
