We have an exciting new opportunity for a conscientious and proactive Safeguarding and Welfare Advisor to work within the safeguarding team on a permanent, full time basis (term time only). 

You will be responsible for delivering an empowering Safeguarding service through working closely with learners to enable them to contact and engage with services and provide information to address barriers to learning. You will also create a visible and accessible welfare services to students and to engage proactively with curriculum areas, learning support and other services to ensure a holistic approach to supporting and advising students.

What we’re looking for:

You will need to be Educated to degree level or equivalent and have experience of Delivery of Welfare, Safeguarding or Youth Work or related service.

You will need to show a detailed understanding of current trends and issues in Safeguarding, Welfare or Youth Work and a thorough understanding of the role of individual records in data collection and audit compliance.

This is an exciting role that contributes to the success of not only the students but the College as a whole and we are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to self and team development. You will also need to be able to build and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders, at all levels, internally and externally, as well as other members of College staff and students.
