Location: Head office is in Gloucester but will need to travel across the South West on occasions

Hours: Full-time 35 hours, Monday to Friday OR 28 hours – to be agreed

Contract: Fixed-term, 12 months

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and organised professional to cover maternity leave for our Apprentice Recruitment & Host Account function. This role will manage the end-to-end apprentice applicant journey, build and maintain relationships with host employers, and contribute to marketing and promotion initiatives.

 

The ideal candidate will be confident, organised, and enjoy working across multiple stakeholders while supporting the growth and success of apprentices and host companies.

 

Key Responsibilities

Apprentice Recruitment:

Manage the daily apprentice applicant journey, including reviewing applications, conducting telephone and TEAMS interviews, arranging interviews with host clients, producing CVs, and confirming apprenticeship starts.

Provide feedback to applicants and chase missing information (CVs, exam results, transport details, etc.) to ensure timely progression.

 

Host Account Management:

Develop and manage relationships with host companies, including key accounts, ensuring apprentice progress and satisfaction.

Attend meetings with hosts, mentors, and training providers, resolving queries and supporting positive outcomes.

Generate further business by developing relationships with existing host companies.

Contribute to Apprentice of the Month/Year and marketing case studies.

 

Promotion & Marketing:

Support SWAC marketing campaigns through proactive use of social media, sharing posts, and engaging with the wider community.

 

Coordination & Reporting:

Work closely with the MD, provider assessors/tutors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate communication.

Maintain the CRM system accurately and ensure monthly targets are met, keeping the team informed of progress.

 

Client Relationship Management:

Be the first point of contact for all client queries, responding promptly and escalating when necessary.

Maintain regular contact with current client accounts to build relationships and ensure maximum exposure of vacancies.

 

Other Duties:

Maintain a valid driver’s licence and an enhanced DBS record.

Develop and maintain positive internal and external working relationships.

Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Present a professional image at all times and engage in continuous professional development.

Actively contribute to the achievement of the company’s Growth Plan.
