Our Mathematics department is dedicated to promoting and motivating progression in all areas of mathematics, providing diverse opportunities for students to engage with challenging concepts and real-world applications. We aim to inspire a lifelong love for maths and shape the future of our students.

If you have a passion for mathematics and a desire to inspire young minds, we would love for you to join us. This role is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs), with excellent support provided. Further maths and A level teaching opportunities are available for suitable candidates. We would consider both full and part-time applications.
We value diverse teaching methodologies and provide detailed schemes of work to guide the units and skills to be covered. However, we also encourage teachers to develop their own unique teaching styles.
Our Mathematics Department is a vibrant team of 12 full-time and part-time staff members, known for their dedication and impressive academic achievements. Teaching maths at Claremont is a dynamic and fulfilling experience.
Students receive five periods of mathematics instruction per week up to GCSE, with class sizes averaging 18 pupils. At AS and A Level, students have seven periods per week, with small groups of around ten students.
