This is an exciting opportunity to join our curriculum support team at Weymouth & Kingston Maurward College. This role will be delivering the work experience curriculum effectively through a variety of different learning strategies, including innovative use of digital technology (Grofar).
The aim of the work placement role is to effectively source and secure work experience placements for students. You will engage with employers, curriculum areas and students, to ensure that the preparation, delivery and evaluation of work placements are meaningful, relevant and sustained to a high quality and ensure that students are well prepared.
Developing student employability skills is a key aspect of the role and you will be supporting students to gain their DBS and work placement, organising assessments and action planning of work-related activities ensuring all work is recorded on Grofar.
We are always looking for ways to improve the work experience provision, ensuring it is relevant and student-focused. Your ability to relate to a diverse student population and act as a role model will be key.
This is position is full time (37 hours per week) fixed term until 30th June 2026.
