Are you passionate about sport and committed to developing young athletes both on and off the pitch/court? As part of the dynamic and growing Sports team at Coleg Gwent, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Netball Coach to support our learners’ enrichment journey.
Principal Responsibilities
As our Netball Coach, you will lead structured and engaging coaching sessions tailored to the needs and abilities of our learners. Your training will support the progressive development of players, preparing them for competitive matches held on Wednesday afternoons.
You will be expected to:
• Deliver high-quality netball coaching for a minimum of four hours per week.
• Plan and facilitate sessions that build skill, teamwork, and performance.
• Create a safe and inclusive training environment that complies with health and safety guidelines.
• Demonstrate clear understanding of accident, incident, and emergency procedures.
• Promote equality, fair play, and sportsmanship in all activities.
• Serve as a positive and professional role model for students and staff.

The ability to use the Welsh language at a basic level (or willingness to undertake training) is desirable.

Requirements & Compliance
• Safeguarding: Appointment is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and EWC registration (costs covered by the candidate).
• Qualifications: Lecturers must hold or be willing to achieve a teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) within a set period.
