We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Welsh Language and Equality Facilitator to support and encourage the confident use of the Welsh language among learners across the organisation. The role will also promote the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion among learners.
We are looking for someone who is committed to developing confidence, removing barriers (whether psychological or practical), and encouraging increased use of the Welsh language through creative, supportive and learner centred approaches. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for promoting the Welsh language and equality, and the flexibility to work collaboratively to contribute positively to a dynamic bilingual culture.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of language acquisition, experience of supporting learners at different levels, and the ability to make the Welsh language accessible, relevant and practical in everyday learning and working contexts.
You must have either an A Level or Level 3 qualification in Welsh or a related subject.
Requirements & Compliance
• Safeguarding: Appointment is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and EWC registration (costs covered by the candidate).
• Qualifications: Lecturers must hold or be willing to achieve a teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) within a set period.
