Temporary High Needs Teaching Assistants
Working Hours: 27 per week (more hours may be considered for the right candidate)
Working Weeks: Term-time plus training days
Salary: NJC Scale L £26,521 – 29,693 (Full Time Equivalent)
Actual salary L1 £16,572 to L8 £18,554 if working 27hrs per week (term time only)

We are seeking to appoint a number of enthusiastic, personable, and flexible Teaching Assistants to join our positive and friendly team. You will provide support in all subject areas, as well as working with students on a 1:1 and group basis. You will be based in either our MSEND (Mainstream Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) team or in the Physically Impaired unit.
The successful candidates may have experience of working with SEN students, preferably in a secondary environment. Teamwork is an essential aspect of the post, as is the confidence to support students in their progress through the curriculum. Good organisational skills, flexible working practices and patience are also essential.
The ability to provide focused support in lessons as well as any relevant interest in, or experience working with, students with moderate learning difficulties, speech and language needs or students on the autistic spectrum would be welcomed.
