Physics Teacher

Working Hours: Full Time or Part time, to suit the right candidate

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Physics teacher to join our high achieving Science Faculty. The successful candidate will:

• Have excellent qualifications and subject knowledge

• Have a passion and enthusiasm for teaching Physics

• Encourage, motivate and inspire students

• Have good organisational and communication skills

• Be an excellent practitioner

The ability to teach Physics at A-Level and GCSE is essential. Candidates will also generally be expected to teach Chemistry/Biology/Combined Science at GCSE and Key Stage 3. However, we are also happy to welcome applications from teachers who are able and willing to offer an alternative additional subject such as Maths. This post could be ideal for someone new to teaching or an experienced practitioner. If you are new to teaching, we would love to welcome you to our supportive and highly praised development programme for Early Careers Teachers. The Science Faculty

The Science Faculty is a well-established, enthusiastic and collaborative team of eleven teachers supported by two fulltime and highly skilled technicians. Currently the faculty offers popular A-levels in Physics, Chemistry and Biology as well as Level 3 Applied Science at Key Stage 5. At Key Stage 4 students follow a range of separate and combined GCSE courses at higher and foundation tier. Staff work closely to share best practice, develop high-quality resources, and maintain high standards of teaching and learning across all key stages. The department is based in modern laboratories within the main school, providing a strong sense of identity and a well-resourced, supportive working environment. There is a clear commitment to professional development, mutual support, and continuous improvement, making the department a positive and stimulating place to work for both experienced teachers and those earlier in their careers.
