About the Role
The College is seeking to appoint a dynamic Senior Careers Advisor & to join our dedicated Careers team. The successful post holder will work with the College Careers leader, to promote an outstanding Careers strategy within the College’s overall strategic plan & build strong relationships with learners to support their progression after completion of their college programme. The role will be the first point of contact to drive a high- quality Careers Service for learners, in addition to providing effective line management to Careers Advisor(s), reporting into the Head of Employer Engagement & Careers lead for the College.
The successful post-holder will work closely with Curriculum Programme managers to ensure the whole college Careers implementation programme is promoted out to learners via a range of careers events & workshops. The role will be pivotal in ensuring quality career education programmes are embedded across the Curriculum, in line with the updated Gatsby benchmarks & effective information advice & guidance is provided to all 16-19 college learners.
Requirements:
- Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance or equivalent desirable/ or willing to work towards
- Demonstrate experience of providing educational, careers or employability guidance desirable
- Full Driving Licence - essential
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organisation skills
