About the role
As a Tutor, you will deliver high quality, personalised education that prepares learners for independence, employment and adulthood.
You will:
· Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated learning programmes for learners with SEND
· Lead on assessment, progress tracking and EHCP outcomes
· Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
· Support learners to develop employability, independence and life skills
· Work collaboratively with families, employers and external agencies
· Contribute to a strong culture of wellbeing and positive behaviour
· Play an active role in our tutor community of practice, developing innovative pedagogy
You will ensure every learner has the opportunity to make meaningful progress and achieve positive destinations.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a passionate and values led educator who is committed to making a difference.
You will bring:
Experience & expertise
· Teaching experience with learners with SEND
· Experience of delivering employability or Preparation for Adulthood programmes
· Strong understanding of EHCPs, assessment and personalised learning
· Knowledge of the world of work and how to prepare learners for it
Teaching & professional skills
· The ability to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
· Skilled in adapting teaching to meet diverse needs
· Strong understanding of assessment and progress monitoring
· Commitment to safeguarding and learner wellbeing
Personal qualities
· A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
· The ability to build positive, trusting relationships
· Resilience, flexibility and a positive outlook
