Croydon College is seeking to appoint an experienced ALS Coordinator to join its ALS team. 


This newly created post will coordinate and be accountable for the planning and delivery of support to students with an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) or SEN Support Plan across both the Croydon and Coulsdon campuses, helping students to overcome barriers and realise their potential by providing 1:1 / group interventions and therapeutic sessions that maximise student independence to meet EHCP outcomes. 


The successful applicant will work in conjunction with the Senior ALS Coordinator to create an inclusive, collaborative and collegiate approach in coordinating support for the teaching, learning and assessment of students with an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) or SEN Support Plan across both the Croydon and Coulsdon campuses.


As the named contact for assigned students, the successful applicant with liaise closely with parents/carers and college staff, provide advice and guidance, implement PEEPs and risk assessments, provide support in unstructured time, and deal with transport issues.  


You would be joining a motivated and experienced student focused team who are collaborative and proactive in their approach to supporting students to overcome barriers and achieve their potential.


Applicants must be educated to Level 3 standard with a minimum of Level 2 English and Maths and have a comprehensive understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
