Croydon College promotes a positive, student focussed and supportive culture, and you will play a key role in helping us achieve this.

In this role you will be based at our Croydon Campus, providing students with advice and support on personal and welfare related issues. You will be responsible for assisting the Student Services Manager with the day to day response to safeguarding concerns and referrals, and will be a point of contact for external agencies working with Looked after Children, attending on and off-site PEP and LAC reviews. Additionally, you will be working in partnership with professional areas such as Children/Adult Services, CAMH’s, Police and Voluntary/Community sectors to provide targeted student support.

You will have experience in delivering frontline support service to vulnerable young people and a thorough knowledge of current safeguarding practice and legislation, to identify strategies and interventions to improve the overall wellbeing of our students and academic consistency. Collaboratively working with the curriculum teams and college staff to ensure effective links with the safeguarding and wellbeing service forms part of this vital provision.

Joining a motivated and experienced student focussed team who are collaborative and proactive in their approach to supporting students to overcome barriers and achieve their potential, you will have the ability to prioritise and work flexibly using your own initiative and as part of a team, maintaining accurate electronic and paper based data.

In return Croydon College offers generous leave, the opportunity to join the Local Government Pension Scheme and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity.
