Croydon College is seeking to appoint an experienced Senior SEND Coordinator to join its ALS team. 


This newly created post, based at the Croydon campus, will be key in managing and developing the discrete SEND curriculum area whilst providing a high quality student experience that promotes life skills and opportunities for progression to the next stage of independent living.


The successful applicant will work in conjunction with the Head of ALS to coordinate the planning, preparation and delivery of high quality teaching and support to students with an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) or SEN Support Plan in a variety of contexts and through a range of delivery methods. They will also be required to plan programmes for delivery that meet individual needs.


Job will include line managing staff within the discrete provision and will be the point of contact with parents/carers and college staff, provide advice and guidance, ensuring that PEEPs, risk assessments, and EAA are in place for learners. They will also need to provide support in unstructured time, and deal with transport issues.  


You would be joining a motivated and experienced student focused team who are collaborative and proactive in their approach to supporting students to overcome barriers and achieve their potential.


Applicants must be educated to Level 3 standard with a minimum of Level 2 English and Maths, have a certificate in education / PGCE and have a comprehensive understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
