University Centre Croydon is seeking a highly motivated, student-focused sessional lecturer with good subject knowledge, ICT and administrative skills, to teach modules on the Level 4 HNC in Business course starting in January 2021.

Applicants should have a first degree and postgraduate qualification in Business and Management, or related discipline, with specific subject knowledge of management and financial accounting. A background in a related profession would be an advantage. Applicants should be available to start teaching from 25 January 2021.

Candidates should also be able to evidence effective teaching, learning and assessment up to Honours degree level and have successful experience of setting high quality undergraduate assessments. Knowledge of business, management and finance programmes, as well as tutoring experience, is preferred. In addition, applicants should ideally have completed, or be working towards, a PGCE/ DTLLS, or equivalent teaching qualification.

Our students come from diverse backgrounds and the programme offers access to a wide range of career options. The successful candidate will need to be able to teach in a combination of online and in person lecture settings and be enthusiastic, highly organised and flexible. Good interpersonal skills, a willingness to work collaboratively within a small team, and the ability to provide high quality student support are essential.
